Galeries Lafayette 130th Anniversary Visual Merchandising Display (Winners)
In celebration of Galeries Lafayette’s 130th Anniversary, Raffles students from the Interior Design, Visual Communication Design, and Fashion Marketing and Management programs participated in an exciting visual merchandising display project that honours the legacy, creativity, and innovation of this iconic Parisian department store.
Our students emerged victorious in this prestigious inter-school competition, showcasing their exceptional creativity, talent and dedication. This project provided our students with a unique opportunity to collaborate on a professional-level display, merging historical inspiration with contemporary design elements to craft a visual merchandising concept that embodies Galeries Lafayette's brand identity while commemorating their milestone anniversary.
Titled “Sucrelixir,” the winning concept evokes a sweet, lively essence, blending the charm of candy with a sense of luxury and exclusivity that perfectly aligns with Galeries Lafayette’s identity. The display is vibrant and colorful, reminiscent of a candy wonderland, utilizing bold hues and playful accents to create a visually stimulating environment that feels both special and inviting. We are incredibly proud of our students for their outstanding achievement in this competition, demonstrating not only their creativity but also their ability to engage with and elevate a celebrated brand's legacy.

FieldTrip - Interior Design
Year 1 and 2 – Field Trip BALI
Bali's Interior and Architecture design reflects a captivating blend of tradition, spirituality, and natural beauty. Rooted in Balinese Hinduism and influenced by various cultural exchanges over centuries, Bali's architectural style exudes a unique charm that resonates with both locals and international visitors alike. One of the most striking features of Balinese design is its emphasis on harmony with nature. Balinese interior design often incorporates elements of sustainable design and traditional craftsmanship, connecting to the island's landscape.
Raffles Year 1 and Year 2 Interior Designers conducted a study tour and field trip to better observe how designers integrate contemporary design elements with traditional Balinese culture. Guided by Raffles Interior Design Lecturers, Mr. Ned Ronsairo and Ms. Mia Kuntohadi, participants toured the four best developed areas in Bali - Uluwatu, Ubud, Canggu and Seminyak.
Highlights of this trip includes a tour of the Award-Winning Rimba Jimbaran by Ayana Resort, celebrated for its breathtaking design, seamlessly integrating contemporary elements with traditional Balinese influences.
