Glittery Raffles Night 2013 Celebrated in Four Seasons Hotel, Jakarta
18th October, 2013
Raffles Jakarta starting year 2013 onwards will present Raffles Night, an annual fusion event of exhibition, fashion show, graduation ceremony and networking among the Raffles' alumni, business partners, students and parents. Filled with life and energy, Raffles Night 2013 showcased the charm and drive of its graduating students on October 18th 2013, at the Four Seasons Hotel, Jakarta.
The theme for Raffles Night 2013 was “Four Seasons”, matching perfectly with the setting of the event in the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Jakarta. Raffles Night 2013 represented the motivation and a glimpse of future expectations as Raffles Jakarta set higher expectations for itself, and also envisions a bright future for its graduates as they begin their careers. Graduates from Fashion Design, Fashion Marketing and Management, Multimedia Design, Visual Communication, Interior Design and Business programmes exhibited their final year projects in the foyer of the Four Seasons hotel, showcasing their talents and skills and what they have learnt. All the works displayed our students’ ingenuity and originality and they received rave reviews from numerous guests.
The fashion show was a showcase of new talents by 11 upcoming fashion designers who presented their creations of various designs as their final project. The theme of the night was depicted throughout collections during the fashion show and the exhibition. On the runway, from Danielle Grace’s icy Diamond Dust to the ethnic warmth of Maria Valentine Lydia’s Metropole Heritage, without forgetting the summery Faded Garden presented by Cindy Angelina, we had a great opportunity to catch a glimpse of the creativity of our young designers.
82 students are graduating in 2013. They are from Fashion Design, Interior Design, Multimedia Design, Visual Communication, Fashion Marketing and Management and Business Management programmes. During the graduation ceremony, the graduates received their congratulation letters directly from Elena Ryleeva, the Academic Director of Raffles Jakarta. Six advanced diploma graduates received the top student award for their academic achievement in the respective disciplines. They were Maria Valentina Lydia (Fashion Design), Imanjar Nahjan Radhita (Fashion Marketing and Management), Kimberly Alicia Wright (Interior Design), Miranda Valentia Djuari (Multimedia Design), Edgina Callista Lauda Tjia (Visual Communication) and David Kusuma Mulya (Business Management). We wish all our graduates the very best for the future and we excitedly look forward to Raffles Night 2014.
