OVERVIEW

The course gives students the creative and technical knowledge and skills they need to become professionals in the interior design industry. It encompasses the study of both Interior Architecture and Design within the built environment, while focusing on the human interface within given spaces. The emphasis is placed on space planning, creative problem-solving, communication skills, knowledge of building materials, construction, computer-aided drafting and the history of design. Students are expected to provide design solutions to a wide variety of complex real-life space problems.

ABOUT US

ADVANCED DIPLOMA

Advanced diploma is a great option if you’re focused on gaining knowledge you can apply directly to the workplace. Throughout this course, you will gain hands-on experience producing technical drawings, creating 3D digital models, designing interiors and creating design briefs. Upon the successful completion of this course, you will be given an opportunity to either start your professional career or continue learning and move into a bachelor`s degree.​​

Some key areas covered in this course:

  1. Architectural Drafting

  2. Interior design principles

  3. Design studio (Residential, Retail, Office and Restaurant)

  4. Lighting design

  5. Construction studies

  6. Computer graphic skills (Sketchup, AutoCad, 3DSMax, Revit, Photoshop)

  7. Furniture history and application, etc.

The entire programme comprises of 26 modules and internship

and may be finished in 2 years (8 semesters).

BACHELOR (HONOURS)

Bachelor’s degree is one of the most popular degrees you can undertake. It is intended for those looking to take their careers to the next level and become qualified to work with high-profile clients. The program imparts to students a deeper understanding of space planning, technical and artistic aspects of interior design, architectural principles, sustainable design, law and construction legislation. On this course you’ll explore the regeneration and adaptation of real buildings and sites and learn how to turn old commercial premises into exciting new spaces for exhibition, retail, leisure or educational purposes.

The BA (Hons) Top-Up Degree in Interior Design consists of the final year from the full BA (Hons) Interior Design. The course is structured in 12 modules and takes 1 year (4 semesters) to complete. Successful completion of an Advanced Diploma level is required.​
