Top up Degree Presentation and Open House

31st August, 2013

On the eve of our second open house, students from Raffles Jakarta had the opportunity to attend a presentation regarding their Bachelor degree level top-up programme in Raffles Singapore, Raffles Sydney and Raffles Hong Kong. The newly formatted presentation was introduced for the first time within Raffles colleges by Mr. Ong Kai How, Vice President South East Asia and Mr. Andrew Suprajitno, IAO Director. Raffles Jakarta students have the option to pursue their studies in Singapore, Hong Kong, or Sydney. Studying abroad will help students to enhance their opportunities and also allow them to hone their skills. As part of the international network of Raffles, students from Jakarta can move with ease within Raffles Education’s locations.

On Saturday, 31st August 2013, Raffles Jakarta at City Walk, Sudirman, hosted another installment of its Open House, featuring six interactive workshops from six different programmes. Raffles Jakarta collaborated with an industry leader, MNC Promo, to demonstrate their expertise in Visual Communication and Multimedia Design during pertinent workshops.

Raffles Open House serves as a showcase of our unique brand of specialised higher education, designed to nurture the inner talents of students in grades 10-12, and to welcome parents and secondary school educators from local schools to Raffles Jakarta. Each workshop, hosted by their respective programme director and senior lecturers, offered a quick presentation and an interactive session where our guests could have a glimpse of the Raffles spirit.

Workshop presenters from Business Management, Fashion Design, Interior Design, Visual Communication, Fashion Marketing Management and Multimedia Design provided students with accessible expertise and a taste of what to expect at Raffles Jakarta. Throughout Open House, our Exhibition Room displayed samples of current/prior student work and achievements in both design and business consisting of video presentations, portfolios, fashion wear, and multi-programme artwork.

Subsequently, top workshop participants received achievement certificates for their submissions and contributions. During the day, students and parents had the opportunity to discuss freely with our lecturers and consultants to have all their questions answered.

Raffles Jakarta would like to thank Amri Trimarsetia, Senior Motion designer from MNC Promo and graduate in Multimedia Design from Raffles Singapore. And we also want to thank as well Bakti Mulia 400 high school for helping make our second 2013 Open House a success. If you missed the great opportunity to join us this time, our doors are always open and we hope to see you soon!
