The Lomba Perancang Mode (LPM) is one of Indonesia’s most prestigious fashion competitions, held annually as part of Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW). Since its inception, LPM has been a launching pad for some of the nation’s most celebrated designers, giving young talents the platform to showcase their creativity and contribute to shaping the future of Indonesia’s fashion industry.

As the heart of JFW, LPM nurtures innovation, sustainability, and cultural identity. Winning or even becoming a finalist is considered a milestone achievement, opening doors to both local and international recognition.
This year, we are honored that Raffles Jakarta is represented by Carolin Valentina, who has reached the final stage of the competition.

Her collection, “Luruh: The Molting Forest”, was born from her personal connection to the land of Kalimantan and the wounds left by raging forest fires. Inspired by the natural process of molting, Carolin’s designs reflect the idea of renewal, shedding scars of destruction to make space for healing and new life. Just as the earth recovers from human greed, her work symbolizes resilience, hope, and transformation.
