Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW) has long been celebrated as Indonesia's premier fashion event and a key player in Southeast Asia's fashion landscape. Each year, it serves as a global platform, uniting top designers, emerging talents, fashion houses, and creative visionaries. JFW's influence extends beyond the region, shaping global fashion narratives and spotlighting Southeast Asian creativity on the world stage.

Jakarta Fashion Week is more than a runway; it's a celebration of Indonesia's rich cultural identity intertwined with modern innovation. It's a launchpad for young designers to showcase their work to the world, and for Indonesia to display its unique blend of tradition and modernity. JFW's global reach provides a platform for local designers to expand beyond their domestic markets, fostering international media coverage and partnerships.

Raffles Jakarta at JFW 2025

We take immense pride in the achievements of our students, such as Carolin Valentina, a finalist at Jakarta Fashion Week 2025. Her success is a testament not only to her hard work, creativity, and dedication, but also to our unwavering commitment at Raffles Jakarta to nurturing the next generation of global fashion leaders. Having a student among the finalists of such a prestigious event blurs the lines between classrooms and international stages, inspiring other students to realize their potential with the proper support and perseverance.

Success Stories: From Jakarta to the World Go on

Carolin's success follows another fantastic achievement for our students. Christabell Bellini was a finalist in the 31st Edition of Mittelmoda 2025 in Italy, which is one of the most prestigious international fashion competitions in the world. We are proud to say that Raffles Jakarta is the only school in Southeast Asia that is part of Mittelmoda 2025. This shows how well-known our students are around the world. These milestones show that fashion education, along with exposure to the world, can lead to excellent international opportunities.

Fashion Weeks: How They Help the Industry Grow

Jakarta Fashion Week and Mittelmoda are more than just style events; they help the fashion industry grow. They make:

  • Opportunities for designers, buyers, and investors to network.

  • Cultural exchange, where local customs meet global trends.

  • Talent acceleration, a place where new voices can stand next to well-known brands.

These platforms give Southeast Asia's fashion industry, which is still growing quickly, significant visibility and recognition. They improve the region's creative economy and make it a stronger player in the global fashion industry.

Looking Forward

We at Raffles Jakarta think that these successes show how important education, mentorship, and exposure to the world are. We will continue to give our students the skills, creativity, and confidence they need to become the leaders of tomorrow's industries as they continue to shine on international stages. Once again, congratulations to Carolin Valentina for her remarkable success at Jakarta Fashion Week 2025. We can't wait to see how she and many of our other students will continue to shape the future of fashion in Indonesia and beyond.
